We are Elia. And we keep the lights on all over Belgium. As the builder and operator of the high-voltage grid, we ensure that electricity gets where it is needed, from deep in the sea and high in the sky to your home or business.
Our high-voltage grid (30 to 400 kV) includes over 8,600 km of lines and underground cables throughout Belgium. Every day, the Elia Group’s more than 2,500 professional staff are hard at work moving electricity around the grid. That makes us one of Europe’s top 5 transmission system operators.
