Introduction
At Careers International, we are committed to being a responsible employer and to the promotion and protection of Human Rights within our operations and in collaboration with our partners, clients, and stakeholders. We recognise our responsibility to uphold the highest standards of business ethical behaviour and respect for individuals. Our Corporate Social Responsibility policy outlines the principles and practices that guide our commitment to human rights and business ethics.
1. Commitment to employees
In order to achieve a corporate positioning that is sensitive to, and respectful of, human beings and employees, we share and implement our corporate values of:

We encourage active participation of all employees in the workplace. As far as health and safety, we commit to eliminate hazards, reduce risk, provide safe and healthy working conditions through risk prevention, improving working conditions, allowing part-time and remote work and the promotion of health.
Formative activities are organised in accordance with specific needs and using a training style and methodology adapted to the different professionals (e.g., sales training and recruiters training).

We will treat all individuals with dignity and respect. We will respect the privacy and personal information of our employees, clients, candidates, and stakeholders in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

Our company culture and values are focused on a firm commitment to ethics, respect, and exceeding clients’ expectations. We encourage open, honest, and regular conversations with our clients in order to achieve our specified goals. This commitment also extends to honest and transparent reporting at project closure. Information shared with us will be treated confidentially.
Our technological development efforts (i.e., development of the tech platform jobinar) serve as the most visible representation of our commitment to clients. This commitment is also enriched by our special awareness of those clients whose needs represent an additional challenge related to issues of diversity & inclusion, among others.

Careers International vows to treat all individuals who enter our community through our general database, via social media, specific projects and specific events, with respect and consideration.
We will not tolerate any forms of disrespectful treatment, whether verbally or in writing, by any members of our team.
Any forms of discrimination are not permitted in line with our principles on the respect of human rights.

The environmental impact generated by Careers International business activity is low compared with other industry sectors. However, our responsibility and commitment to the protection of the environment includes sustainable use of resources and reduction of generated waste.
We continue to advance in solutions via developing technology platforms for interaction between employers and employees and talent acquisition – this is reinforcing our long-term commitment to sustainability.
5. Commitment to the general community
In line with our commitment to standing with society, we pledge a portion of our profits to local or international non-profit organisations.
6. Commitment to human rights
- We will prevent any involvement in all forms of modern slavery, including human trafficking, forced, bonded, or indentured labour
- All work should be voluntary on the part of the employee. We provide all employees with a written contract indicating their rights and responsibilities with regard to wages, working hours, benefits and other working and employment conditions
- We strictly prohibit the use of child labour and forced labour in any form. We will not engage in, support, or tolerate any practices that exploit or endanger children or individuals subjected to forced labour
- All workers under the age of 18 must be protected from performing work that is likely to be hazardous or that may be harmful to their health, physical, mental, social, spiritual, or moral development
7. Commitment to business ethics anti-bribery, fraud prevention and corruption
Careers International conducts its business professionally, with integrity and in compliance with the laws of those jurisdictions in which it operates. Our reputation for acting fairly is built on our values as a company and the values of our employees.
This means we do not tolerate:
- sharing confidential company or proprietary information with third parties
- entering conflicts of interest with third parties
- receiving personal gifts or favours
- offering personal gifts or favours
- offering or receiving payment to influence or achieve a business deal or personal advantage
Any gifts offered to an employee that cannot be refused for whatever reason will be considered gifts to the Company and will be donated to an outside organisation on an annual basis in the case of non-perishable items.
Perishable items, such as food & drink, will be shared among colleagues for consumption on company premises during office hours (excluding alcoholic drinks) and/or during company functions.
- Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations
We will comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws and regulations in general and concerning business ethics and human rights in particular, including but not limited to laws related to child labour, forced labour, discrimination, harassment, and fair treatment of employees. We will comply with those laws and regulations in all countries in which our services are provided.
- Illegal Payments
We do not offer, promise, make, accept, or agree to accept any improper payments of money or anything of value to government officials, political parties, candidates for public office, or other persons. We prohibit payments intended to expedite or secure performance of a routine governmental action.
We do not offer any illegal payments to, or agree to receive any illegal payments from, any customer, supplier, their agents, representatives, or others. We prohibit our employees from receiving, paying, and/or promising sums of money or anything of value, directly or indirectly, intended to exert undue influence or improper advantage.
This prohibition applies even in locations where such activity may not violate local law.
- Fraud and deception
We will not seek to gain an advantage of any kind by acting fraudulently, deceiving people, making false claims, or allowing anyone else representing them to do so. This includes defrauding or stealing and any kind of misappropriation of property or information.
8. Commitment to continuous improvement
We are committed to continually improving our business practices, our human rights practices, our methods and procedures, our services, and levels of service, as well as our relationships with all stakeholders. We will continue to foster a culture of respect for human rights. We will regularly review and update this Code of Conduct to ensure its effectiveness.
