(Senior) Full Stack Java Developer
Would you like to make an impact and deliver software solutions to the EIB’s core business lines? The Bespoke Banking Applications (BBA) Unit develops applications that are at the heart of the EIB, supporting core business activities. We are constantly innovating in the way work and develop software, using state of the art technologies.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Unit and will work in close contact with the unit’s Project Managers and with other IT teams.
What will you bring?
- University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of relevant experience as a full stack developer, having exposure to Java and JavaScript development
- Solid experience in Java and BackEnd technologies, JavaScript coding standards, React.js library and ReactNative library,
- Experience in software architecture design, including supervision of the technical teams,

(Senior) Python Developer/ Project Manager
Purpose
In this role, you will drive and manage the planning, design, implementation, testing and maintenance for a set of advanced analytics applications and solutions for quantitative analysts and traders.
Operating Network
You will report to the Head of Treasury & Borrowings Unit and collaborate closely with other teams in IT and professionals in finance.
You will be part of a dedicated product team, whose mission is to develop with the business a set of advanced analytical tools for the Front and Middle-Office decision making and monitoring/control purposes. Those tools will serve the Bank to better record, interpret and assess risks.

As you will be based in Warsaw some business travel to the EIB Headquarters in Luxembourg is foreseen. (Associate) Banking Software Specialist
You will work on critical IT software solutions in the finance domain in close collaboration with business counterparts. Join our team and contribute to reach the EIB objectives through innovation and digitalisation.
You will report to the Head of Unit and work in close cooperation with all other divisions of the Group Digital Office and the user community. You will be responsible for a series of critical financial applications in which errors or delays (e.g. in payments or missed reconciliations) could have a big impact.
What will you bring?
- University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related field
- At least 3 years’ professional experience involving requirements analysis, software design, development, 2nd level support, implementation and maintenance of enterprise information management systems, preferably in a banking environment, ideally in a mixed IT / Finance environment
- In-depth technical knowledge of banking packages and interfacing techniques
- Experience with one or more banking packages such as ION WallStreet, FIS, Calypso, or market data management system like Golden Source, Alveo, Neoxam or Markit would be an advantage
- Good technical background in Object oriented design programming (C#, Java) and scripting languages (Unix shell, Python, PL-SQL) and DBMS Systems (Oracle and/or Sybase SQL, DB Schema)

(Senior) Applications & Technology Architect
Would you like to be part of EIB’s digital transformation journey and lead application and technology architecture? You will have a possibility to develop and manage the application & technology architecture planning the structure of new technological systems, supervising program implementation, and foster group-wide solution awareness in applications and technology.
The role of the Enterprise Architecture Unit is to support the EIB Group to convert traditional businesses and ways of working to digital ones, using the potential of modern technologies and data. Its aim is to establish a comprehensive business transformation strategy, synchronised with operational imperatives, and aligned with the overarching Digital Strategy and vision. It ensures alignment in the strategic transformation journey while maintaining a consistent architecture.
It facilitates the discussions between the Value Chains (VC) and platforms, support and monitor the Value Chains in their business processes optimisation, the delivery of solutions and activation of innovation.
In this position, you will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Architecture Unit.
What will you bring?
- University degree preferably in computer science, information technology, information management with an exposure to data modelling, business analysis and information architecture subjects
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in System and/or Solution Architecture or as an application architect,

As an Integration Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing integration solutions that connect disparate systems, applications, and data sources. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, assess existing architectures, and develop comprehensive integration strategies. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills.
This is a pivotal role directly reporting to the Head of Division.
You will work in close collaboration with various IT teams and internal stakeholders. You will have privilege connections with the Enterprise Architecture Team.
What will you bring?
- University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Management or related field.
- Proven experience as an Integration Solution Architect or similar role.
- At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience of design and implementation of software Solutions.
- Proven experience and excellent technical knowledge of the tools and architecture of the Integration stack, including API Management, Event Streaming, Enterprise Service Bus. Data Virtualization, message-oriented middleware, SOA and microservice enabling technologies would be an asset.

(Senior) Managed Services Expert
Purpose
Data and Information Solutions Department consists of 81 internal staff and in this role, you will be responsible to drive and develop the strategic planning, implementation, reporting and evaluation of the department’s managed services contracts and to manage stakeholder relationships with external service providers.
This position offers you the opportunity to contribute to the Group Digital Office’s managed services strategy by driving the implementation of a new operating model within the department and managing stakeholder relationships with external service providers and the operational teams.

What will you bring?
- University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- At least 5 years’ of IT professional experience with at least 2 years in building and deploying AI/ML/GenAI solutions
- Python programming experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGboost, Keras, Pytorch, Spacy or equivalent
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with implementation NLP and LLM based solutions using models like transformers, GPT 3.5,4 or Langchain or equivalent
- Experience in Front-end development with Next.js, React is an advantage
- In-depth understanding of machine learning techniques, probabilistic modelling, natural language processing
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure Cloud, AWS or Databricks
- Familiarity with banking and financial data structures, as well as an understanding of regulatory requirements and challenges within the industry would be an asset

(Associate) Data and Information Governance Officer
Purpose
In close collaboration with business directorates, business support and technology partners, develop, support and implement information and data governance activities, contribute to various projects and initiatives to the operationalization and maintenance of the Data Management and Governance Policy (DMGP) and related frameworks, guidelines, processes and procedures, thereby contributing to the achievement of the EIB Group objectives.
Operating Network
The Data Governance Officer reports to the Head of the EIF Data & Information Unit. The unit is responsible for bringing together central functions responsible for its data governance, as well as information management activities. The mission is to maintain transparency, accountability & standardization on reporting processes. It encompasses the continuous development of a Business Glossary, the identification & assignment of ownership in any reporting datapoints and, the maintenance of data governance principles and policies, in line with EIB Group policies and business needs.
The unit is accountable for the management of the reporting governance, master data, data quality and policy creation and management of M-Files – the solution for content, collaboration, records, and information sources management.
What will you bring?
- University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably with exposure to data governance and quality subjects and sound understanding of Information Technology
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience covering data management, business reporting, data analysis and data quality, ideally gained in banking or financial sector in an international context
- Hands-on experience in data analysis and statistics, including applying techniques to measure, assess, improve and ensure the quality of data
- Experience in regulatory and risk reporting
- Good knowledge of enterprise data management best-practice frameworks and guidelines such as BCBS 239, the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK), MIKE 2.0 or ISO 11179;

(Senior) Market Data Vendor Product Manager
Purpose
Every day, you will shape the future for the EIB Group with our data-fuel aspirations. From procurement and contract management to product management and seamless technical connectivity with our vendor partners. Would you like to join the team and become the bridge to success between Business and IT teams?
You will report to the Head of Collateral and Market Data Management Unit and forge strong bonds with other divisions and the user community. You will be responsible for market data demand management, budget, licensing, portfolio optimisation for EIBG. Market data is used by a series of critical financial applications in which errors or delays (e.g. in payments or missed reconciliations), could lead to financial losses and/or reputational damage for the EIBG (EIB Group).
What will you bring?
- University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in Finance, Business Management or IT
- At least 5 years’ professional experience dealing with market data contract management and/or procurement and/or budgeting
- Experience managing invoicing of market data vendors and related back-office activities
- Very good understanding of the delivery mechanisms of market data to banks by market data vendors
- Good knowledge of all market data financial instruments, trends and developments
- Familiarity with market data products and related applications (Refinitiv DACS, Bloomberg Terminal, Tullet) would be an advantage

(Senior) Linux/Windows Server Technical Service Manager
Purpose
Would you like to have an impact on shaping future of Linux/Windows Servers environment for the EU Climate Bank? In this role you will manage the technology roadmap, design and delivery projects as well as daily operations within the scope of: Linux OSS, Ansible, Satellite, Red Hat IdM, or the scope of: Windows Operating Systems Servers, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Active Directory.
You will report to the Head of Unit and will be responsible for providing technical expertise and project leadership in support of Linux or Windows Servers Operating Systems.
What will you bring?
- University degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related disciplines
- At least 5 years of experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or Windows Servers, hands-on expertise, including troubleshooting, performance investigation, optimization, implementing new solutions
- Experience in running daily operations as well as IT projects: deployment of new solutions, maintenance
- Strong Security practice (Secure builds, OpenScap, patching, remediation of vulnerabilities). Configuration of hardened environments.
