Shaping together a bright energy future

Fluxys is an international energy infrastructure group with 1,300 employees active in gas transmission & storage and liquefied natural gas terminalling.

As a purpose-led company, we’re committed to fast-track the shift to a carbon neutral world. We explore new technologies and invest in infrastructure to accommodate hydrogen, biomethane, CO2 and other molecules for a climate neutral future.

Fluxys contributes to a better society by shaping a bright energy future. Drawing on the unique assets of its gas infrastructure and its commercial and technical expertise, Fluxys is firmly committed to transporting hydrogen, biomethane and any other carbon-neutral energy carrier – as well as carbon dioxide and natural gas – in order to enable their capture, reuse and storage.

Our purpose: why we matter

As a key infrastructure partner, we are building a sustainable and cleaner energy future. That is our purpose. With our terminalling, transmission and storage infrastructure for different molecules, we bring energy where it is needed – today and tomorrow.

Together Icon

The energy ecosystem is complex and the demand for energy as a driver of human progress combined with a global need to make energy more sustainable is a challenge that requires everyone to get involved. Redesigning the energy system will not be easy, yet it can be done if we work together. Together refers to all our stakeholders: our employees, shareholders, industrial partners, customers, the general public, public authorities and all actors in the energy system. At Fluxys we firmly believe in this collaboration.

Bright Icon

Our infrastructure, with its storage capacity and capacity to handle molecules for a low-carbon future such as hydrogen and CO₂, has a major role to play in the transition to a bright energy future for all.

Future icon

The word future encompasses a responsibility. With our unique assets as an infrastructure company, we owe it to ourselves to contribute to a greener energy future for generations to come.

Our strategic vision in motion

Fluxys Values: Respect

  • We are in it for the long term and society can count on us for affordable, sustainable and safe infrastructures.

What we want to achieve

As a key infrastructure partner, we want to help accelerate the energy transition with infrastructure for different molecules. Our ambition is to offer customers, in the 2030s, the capacity needed to transport 30 TWh of hydrogen and 30 million tonnes of CO₂ per year.

We roll out infrastructure in line with market demand and to the extent that the investment risk in the market start-up phase is reduced to an acceptable level of risk by government mechanisms.
